Police investigate double murders
The St. Andrew North Police are now investigating two separate double murders in Red Hills and Manor Park.
A wife and husband were shot dead at their house on Belvedere Drive in Red Hills shortly before 4 a.m.
A man and woman were murdered at Grosvenor Terrace in Manor Park around 9.30 a.m.
In the first incident, gunmen entered the house of the couple through a window sometime after 4 a.m. this morning.
The police say the husband was an accountant at Petrojam while the wife, Carolyn Jenniere was a lecturer at the Department of Pharmacy and Health Science at the University of Technology.
According to the police, robbery appeared to have been the motive of the murders as the house was ransacked.
However, they say other possible motives are being investigated.
Around 9.30 a.m. the police were called to Governor Terrace where the bodies of a man and woman were found with stab wounds.
The names of the man and woman are being withheld as investigators are still on the crime scene and not all family members have been notified.
In St Catherine the police are also probing another double murder.
The bodies of two unidentified men were found with multiple gunshot wounds at Featherbed Lane in Spanish Town shortly after midnight.
The police say they were called to the scene by residents.
They say the men appear to be in their early 20s and that one of them had his hair plaited in cornrows.
