Gunmen shoot couple in Greenwich Town

Two persons were shot, one fatally, by gunmen at Fifth Street, Greenwich Town, Kingston 13, this morning.



Dead is 31 year-old Carl Morgan while injured is his 36 year-old common - law-wife both of Fifth Street.



Reports received by the Constabulary Communication’s Network are that about 3:30 a.m., a group of gunmen posing as police kicked open the door of the house and fired several shots at the couple. Morgan died on spot. The police were called and his common law-wife was taken to hospital where she was treated and released. Morgan’s body was removed to the morgue for post mortem examination. The Hunts Bay CIB has commenced a probe into the incident.
