The just under 50,000 students registered to sit the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) are today sitting the second leg of the 2009 exam.

The students are sitting tests in Language Arts, Science and Communication Task.

Yesterday they did Mathematics and Social Studies tests.

The Education Ministry reported that there were only a few glitches.

The glitches included the confusion with the name of at least candidate on the examination list.

Six of the 152 students who were registered to sit the exam at Petersfield Primary and Infant School did not turn up for the test.

This year 49,700 students have been registered to sit the GSAT to gain a place in a secondary institution.
