Police intensify Luciano probe

Investigators will this week intensify their probe to determine if there is a link between entertainer Luciano and a man who was wanted by the police.



The probe stems from a shootout last Wednesday between the wanted man, Andrew Senior, and the police at the entertainer’s house and studio at Westminster Crescent, St. Andrew.



Three policemen were injured in the shootout and Senior ultimately killed.



Luciano, whose real name is Jepther McClymont, was detained following the incident and remains in police custody.



He could be charged with harboring a fugitive.



The police say during questioning last week Luciano denied knowing that Senior was being sought in connection with criminal activities.



But the police say they will be conducting further investigations to verify his statement.



The investigators will also be seeking to find out if there was adequate information in the public domain regarding Senior as a wanted man.



It was earlier reported that Senior was wanted for other gun related crimes.
