Firearm handed over to the police

An illegal firearm was handed over to the May Pen Police in Clarendon on Sunday following a dispute between two men at Howells Content, York Town in the parish on Wednesday March 25.
According to police reports, shortly before midday on Wednesday March 25, two men were involved in a dispute in the community. It is alleged that during the fracas, one of the men pulled a firearm at the other man, who chopped him and took away the firearm.
About 1:30 p.m. yesterday, the gun a .357 Smith and Wesson revolver, serial number 74K0719 with six rounds of ammunition was handed over to the police by residents. Investigations continue.
