Government to develop universal literacy policy

ducation Minister, Andrew Holness has reiterated the government’s resolve to develop a universal literacy policy for Jamaican schools.
Speaking on Independent Talk on Power 106FM this morning the Education Minister announced that the numeracy test, which is now at the pilot stage, will be implemented in the next school year.
He also revealed that 50 literacy specialists are now at several schools training teachers to better utilise language arts in the curriculum.
