Newspaper vendor killed

A 49 year old newspaper vendor Desrine Irvin is now dead after she was hit by a garbage truck at the intersection of Hagley Park Road and Maxfield Avenue in St. Andrew this morning.
Ms. Irvin is said to have been 5 months pregnant.
Two other female vendors were also injured and have since been hospitalised.
One is reportedly in serious condition.
The police said the garbage truck was being driven along Hagley Park Road, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which ran into the women.
