The Kingston 13 area was on Wednesday night  rocked by three murders in separate incidents.

Reports are that four male patrons of a bar along Maxfield Avenue in St Andrew were attacked by unknown assailants approximately 8:23 p.m. The police, on arrival, found the men suffering from gunshot wounds and took them to hospital where two were pronounced dead.

Dead are William Walker, of a St Thomas address, and another unidentified man.

The other two men were being treated for their injuries.

In a separate incident, 44-year-old Maurice Wellington, alias ‘Short Man’, of Daffodil Avenue was shot and killed.

About 8:25 p.m., residents reportedly heard explosions and summoned the police. When the lawmen arrived, Wellington was seen suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Up to yesterday evening, the motives for the shootings remained unclear.
