More than 700 representatives of the Guardian Life Limited and their partnering brokerage companies travelled into Kingston from across the island to attend a new year ‘Blast Off 2020’ and motivational session at the Jamaica Conference Centre recently.

This was the first of several planned activities for the year. The aim was to set the tone and targets for the next 12 months. With the theme ‘Let’s Own the Disruption while We Aspire. Achieve. Advance!’ the format of a special ‘reality show’ called the The Triple-A Show.

The Triple-A Show featured a high-energy, interactive panel discussion among former West Indies cricketer and president of the West Indies Players’ Association, Wavell Hinds; founder and CEO of We Inspire Women and Girls, Cortia Bingham McKenzie; Guardian Life Unit manager, Anlyn Nembhard; and CEO of Wright Intelligence Services Limited, Suzette Wright.

IGNITING PASSION

“The theme has been thoughtfully crafted and is intended to make us uncomfortable with business as usual, and to ignite a passion for innovativeness, for bold and impactful decisions, and for timely and artful execution of these decisions,” said President of Guardian Life Limited Eric Hosin.

Patrick Hylton, chairman of Guardian Holdings Limited, brought exclusive remarks about the future of the company, as well as his personal story of overcoming failure. “You can accomplish anything! Anything you want to accomplish, it is a function of how much you want to put in it,” said Hylton.

“Our 20-year journey as a company has been challenging, but equally exciting and rewarding. As the journey continues, let us use the success of the past as stepping stones with an open mind to disrupt all that needs to be disrupted. Let us own the disruption as we Aspire. Achieve. Advance,” said Hosin during his closing remarks for Guardian Life Limited Blast Off 2020.
