The Bahamas' Steven Gardiner has followed up his World Athletics Championships Men's 400m title in 2019, with Olympic Gold in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday.
Gardiner ran a season's best time of 43.85 seconds to victory, ahead of Colombia's Anthony Jose Zambrano (44.08s) for second.
Grenada's former Olympic champion Kirani James took the bronze medal in 44.19s.
Medal contenders Michael Cherry and Michael Norman of the USA were fourth and fifth respectively in times of a personal best (PB) 44.21s and 44.31s.
Jamaica's Christopher Taylor, a finalist in his first Olympic Games, also ran a PB, 44.79s for sixth.
