The police are reminding business operators in Linstead, Bog Walk and Spanish Town in St Catherine that the closing hours for their establishments have been revised under the State of Public Emergency in the St Catherine North Division.

The security measure was declared on March 18 amid reports of rampant criminality and lawlessness in parts of the division.

See revised business hours below:

* Community recreational areas by 6:00 p.m.
* Cook shops, dry goods and haberdasheries by 7:00 p.m.
* Spirit license premises by 9:00 p.m.
* Service stations by 10:00 p.m.
* Clubs and fast food outlets by 10:00 p.m.
* Pharmacies by 10:00 p.m.
*Churches by 10:00 p.m.

The police say violators will be prosecuted.
