55-y-o farmer dies in bike crash

A 55-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Westmoreland.

He has been identified as Prince Nugent, a farmer of Hartford, Westmoreland.

Reports from the Whithorn police are that about 7:40 p.m. yesterday, Nugent was driving his Jamco motorcycle along the Morass main road, heading towards Williamsfield, when he allegedly collided with a tractor that had been parked beside the road and was attempting to re-enter traffic. He received multiple injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died.

The Whithorn police are investigating.
