JUST IN: Two killed in Trelawny motor vehicle crash
Two persons were killed in a motor vehicle crash in Duncans, Trelawny a short time ago.
There are reports, too, that two tourists escaped injuries in the mishap.
Senior Superintendent Calvin Allen, who heads the police Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, confirmed the incident.
However, Allen says he is still awaiting details on what happened.
The identities of the two persons killed have not been ascertained.
However, reports say the male driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision and a female passenger were the persons killed.
The two fatalities increased to 293 the number of persons killed on the nation’s roadways since the start of the year.
According to the Road Safety Unit in the Ministry of Transport, this is a five per cent increase when compared with the corresponding period last year.
