St Andrew man pleads guilty to brazen 2012 murder
A St Andrew man today pleaded guilty to murder for the brazen daylight execution of another man in a house along Bay Farm Road, St Andrew almost seven years ago.
Otis Constable admitted to the killing moments before prosecutors were set to begin jury selection in the Home Circuit Court for his trial.
Constable is scheduled to be sentenced on February 7.
According to the evidence, Constable and another man drove up to premises located on Bay Farm Road shortly after 3p.m. on February 1, 2012.
Constable, who was carrying a shotgun, and the other man entered the premises and shot Desmond Butler in the head and shoulder then escaped.
Four months later, he was apprehended by the police and reportedly gave a caution statement to investigators in which he confessed to the killing.
