#EastPortlandBattle | Political supporters pulling out the stops to get voters
Political runners in Portland Eastern are going to the mountains and the valleys to pull out electors for today's intense by-election.
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP's) Ann-Marie Vaz is facing off with the People's National Party (PNP's) Damion Crawford.
In Moore Town, disabled electors were being lifted by party workers and placed in vehicles.

In Long Bay, electors were being taken to and from their work places.
"We are the underdog. I'm not a dog without bite. We have a few cars here, I can't even count," one PNP outdoor agent told The Gleaner.
It is part of what St Ann North West Member of Parliament Dr Dayton Campbell called a surgical operation.

"We are being precise with what we are doing. We are executing according to plan," said Campbell, a medical doctor.
He also said the PNP will do "whatever it takes" within the law to get supporters to polling stations across the constituency.
Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporters were not left out.

One supporter, who travelled from St Andrew, used his taxi to shuttle his counterparts to and from the polling station at the Seaview Basic School.
He said he was not being paid for his services.
"A mi party dis enuh, anything me can do fi help," he said.
