Portland man charged with larceny over discovery of stolen cars

The Portland police Wednesday charged a 34-year-old man in connection with the discovery of two stolen vehicles.
Tajhon Hunt, a construction worker of Hope Bay in the parish, was charged with two counts of larceny of a motor vehicle.
The police report that a team was on an operation in Cane Wood, Hope Bay on Tuesday when two Toyota Probox motor vehicles were found.
Checks revealed that one of the cars was stolen in St Thomas on October 16, 2023, with the other reported stolen from Sherwood Forest, Portland on December 3, 2023.
The police say the stolen car from December was dismantled and the chassis number was erased.
Hunt was arrested in relation to the discovery.
He was subsequently charged the following day after being questioned in the company of his lawyer.
His court date is being finalised.
