Former MP Jolyan Silvera again remanded
Former parliamentarian Jolyan Silvera, who is charged with the murder of his wife, was again remanded when he appeared in court this afternoon.
A bail application is to be made on his behalf on April 11 in the Home Circuit Court.
The date was scheduled before Justice Vinette Graham Allen who for the second time opted not to allow the media inside the courtroom.
Melissa, 42, was murdered at her Stony Hill, St Andrew, home.
Initial reports had indicated that Melissa died in her sleep on November 10 of natural cause, a month shy of her eighth wedding anniversary.
An autopsy performed three weeks after her death unearthed at least three bullet fragments in her body.
This prompted the police to upgrade the probe to a murder investigation.
Silvera, who represented the People's National Party in Parliament, was arrested on January 18 and charged with murder a day later.
