45-y-o St Catherine man pleads guilty to sex crimes against daughter and step-daughter
A 45-year-old St Catherine taxi operator on Friday pleaded guilty to the rape, trafficking, and exploitation of his daughter and step-daughter, who are both teenagers.
The Linstead resident admitted to one count rape, one count of having sexual intercourse with a person under age 16-year-old, three counts of incest, two counts of grievous sexual assault, and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He also pleaded guilty to four counts of trafficking of a person, one count of knowingly cause the involvement of child pornography, and one count of knowingly producing child pornography.
The charge of buggery was withdrawn.
The father was remanded for sentencing in the St Catherine Circuit Court on April 25 by Justice Bertram Morrison.
Facts are that between January 2022 and December 2023, the man sexually exploited both teen girls.
He was arrested and charged by detectives from the St Catherine North division of the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse.
