Tremor felt across several parishes, no reports of injuries or damage
Several Jamaicans took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to report feeling a tremor across parts of the island.
Users said the quake was felt in Kingston and St Andrew, St Mary, St Catherine, and Clarendon.
Immediate details on the magnitude or epicentre were not available. It appears to have been felt around 4:15 p.m.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage.
There has been no official statement from the authorities.
Last month, the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, confirmed a minor earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.1 near Golden Spring in St Andrew.
