Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting incident along Blount Street in Denham Town, downtown Kingston, last week.

Charged are Akeem Edwards, 27, a construction worker of Race Course Lane, and 33-year-old Gratino Green, a construction worker of Regent Street, both in Kingston.

The men have been charged with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorised possession of ammunition.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 5 a.m. on March 24, a man was walking along the roadway when he was allegedly approached by the accused men, who opened gunfire at him.

The man managed to escape without injury, and the assailants fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Following a report and subsequent investigation, the accused were arrested and charged based on witness statements.
