Fraser-Pryce opens season with 22.79

Multiple World and Olympic Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce opened her 2022 season, clocking 22.79 seconds to finish second in the 200m at the Velocity Fest meet this afternoon at the National Stadium.
The race was won by MVP's Anthonique Strachan in a season's best of 22.55 while her club teammate Natasha Morrison was third in 23.06.
The defending World 100-metre champion is targeting her fifth title at this year's World Athletic Championships in Oregon.
