Seven inmates still on the run

One inmate has been taken in, but a manhunt is still under way for seven other prisoners who escaped custody at the Hunts Bay Police Station in St Andrew on Sunday.

The escapees have been charged with a variety of crimes, including murder, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, and breaches of the anti-gang legislation.

They are:

• Shavar Smith, 18, otherwise called ‘Boy Boy’, of Crescent Road, Kingston;

• Maldine Lemmon, 25, otherwise called ‘Mallo’, of Espeut Avenue, Kingston 13, and Bob Marley Boulevard in Kingston 2;

• Michael Ellis, 31, of Ramsey Road, Kingston 13, and New Green, Manchester, who was charged for the offence of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and robbery;

• Nicholas Petrie, 31, otherwise called ‘Nico’ or ‘Game Cock’, of Kingston 2 and Kingston 16;

• Leroy Burrell, 24, otherwise called ‘Caliber’, ‘Thick Man’, or ‘Baby King’, of Majesty Gardens;

• Rojae Gaynor, 23, otherwise called ‘Screechy’, of Varma Road, Kingston 11;

• Kenouir Holness, 23, otherwise called ‘Oliver’ or ‘Grimmy’, of Waltham Park Road, Kingston 11.
