It was an exciting evening of match-making on Wednesday as some 30 book-lovers gathered in the cosy Café Blue shop in Constant Spring for an evening of Blind Date with a Book. Powered by Kingston Bookshop, the event was one of several lead-up events as part of the inaugural Jamaica Book Festival (JBF), which was held over three days from December 6 to 8 in Kingston.

Blind Date with a Book put a creative spin on traditional book browsing, allowing guests to select their perfect match based solely on clues placed on wrapped books. Curated by bibliophiles, Olivia Sinclair and Trish-Anthoni Baker, the novel event was a joy for the book-lovers in attendance as they curiously and enthusiastically unwrapped their “blind date” selection to much excitement. Living shares the highlights.
