Two men died this morning after a motor vehicle slammed into the ‘Welcome to Montego Bay’ sign at the round-a-bout near the Sangster International Airport in St James.

The crash left debris scattered at the round-a-bout.

The Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has confirmed the incident, but says the identities of the two men have not yet been ascertained.

There are reports that the driver of the vehicle has been admitted to hospital in critical condition.

Police sources report that the driver lost control of the vehicle after he swerved to avoid debris on the road.

The vehicle went airborne before crashing into the sign.

The crash comes less than 48 hours after two men were killed in a motor vehicle crash along the Rose Hall main road, also in St James.
