Newport West sewage plant taken out of operation - NWC

National Water Commission (NWC) says the Newport West sewage plant has been taken out of operation for emergency work.

The NWC says this is to facilitate repairs on the discharge sewer pipeline at the facility, which is to be completed by May 30.

In the interim, the utility provider says it will be utilising alternative measures to offset the impact on affected customers in the following areas: Newport East, Newport West, HEART- NTA, JPS, Industrial Terrace and facilities in that proximity.
