St James Police seek help apprehending man wanted for double murder
The St James Police has released the name of a man they say is wanted in connection with a double murder committed in the parish last month.
He is Everal Stephenson, 30, also called ‘Eva’, of Rose Heights, in St James.
The police say Stephenson is wanted for murder arising from a shooting incident in the Rose Heights community on March 28 in which construction workers Duwayne Stenneth and Shane Williams were killed.
Stenneth and Williams were among five persons shot by gunmen, according to police reports.
Stephenson is of dark complexion, stout build and about 5 feet tall.
In the meantime the police are reminding citizens that it is an offence to harbour criminals and provide a safe haven.
In addition, the police say shielding criminals places the lives of family and friends at increased risks of attack.
They are appealing to Stephenson to turn himself in to the Montego Bay Police by midday tomorrow.
Additionally, the police are asking anyone who can help them locate him to contact investigators at 876-953-6191, Crime Stop at 311, police emergency number 119 or the nearest police station.
