The men had denied the allegations.

Two men were freed in the Gun Court on Tuesday following a successful no-case submission.

They were charged with illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Their attorneys, Orville Morgan and Ayisha Robb-Cunningham, argued, among other things, that there were irregularities in the case.

They also argued that the Crown did not have a prima facie case.

Following the submission, the men were freed.

During the trial, two other co-accused were freed on April 8 following a no-case submission.

The court heard that in August 2022 the men were travelling in a rented vehicle in Bull Bay, St Andrew when the car was stopped by police.

During a search of the car, the police allegedly found an illegal gun under the driver's seat of the vehicle.

The gun was seized and the four men were arrested and later charged.

They maintained their innocence.
