St Andrew businessman charged with fraud

St Andrew businessman Andrew Palmer has been charged with fraud in relation to a car part deal.

The police say a man visited Palmer's business establishment last year where he made payments amounting to $115,000 for a 2018 Honda Civic RHD headlight.

He received a receipt with the details of his purchase and was told that he would receive the item within two weeks.

But several months went by and no item was delivered.

A report was subsequently made to the police.

According to the police, its investigation revealed that Palmer converted the money to his use and benefit.

He was previously arrested on Saturday, April 27 for a similar offence and was additionally charged for this incident.

He was charged with fraudulent conversion.

His court date is being finalised.
