World U-20 | Jamaica progress to both 4x400m final

Jamaica easily advanced to the finals of the 4x400 metres relays on Friday at the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia.

Jamaica's women, Oneika Brissett, Abigail Campbell, Rickianna Russell and Oneika McAnnuff were well ahead of their rivals in heat two.

Jamaica clocked 3:34.92 minutes with Germany finishing second in 3:35.18 and Great Britain third in 3:35.22. All three times were season best.

In the men's event, Malachi Johnson, Delano Kennedy, Derrick Grant and Shamar Palmer also combined to win heat two easily.

They completed the distance in 3:07.32 minutes to finish ahead of Spain, who did 3:07.58 as both made progress to the final as automatic qualifiers.
