More arrests, stolen vehicles recovered in C-TOC crack down on car-stealing ring
Detectives assigned to the Stolen Motor Vehicle Unit at the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) have recovered more vehicles and made additional arrests as they crack down on a car-stealing ring operating in the Corporate Area and St Catherine.
It is being reported that three vehicles—a white 2012 Nissan AD Wagon, a grey 2015 Nissan, and another Nissan AD Wagon—were recovered during operations in Kingston and St Catherine between Tuesday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 12.
Two individuals were taken into custody.
This brings the total number of stolen vehicles recovered to 10.
Seven of the vehicles were retrieved during operations conducted between Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8.
Seven individuals were arrested during those operations.
The detained suspects remain under investigation.
C-TOC has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling organized criminal networks involved in motor vehicle theft.
