CG2022 | Women's shot put: Cameron, Thomas-Dodd in final

Jamaica’s Lloydricia Cameron and Danniel Thomas-Dodd are through to the final of the women’s shot put at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Thomas-Dodd, who finished 10th in the final of the event at the recently concluded World Athletics Championships, met the 18.00 metres automatic qualification mark with her only throw as she hurled 18.42m on Tuesday. She was one of three throwers to go over the 18.00m mark and has the leading mark going into the final.

Cameron had a best throw of 16.61m. Wednesday’s final will start at 2:05 p.m. Jamaica time.
